Supporting new market entry and localisation for Tashas Group
Project type
Internationalisation
Tashas Group is the brainchild of founder and CEO, Natasha Sideris, who is the maverick of the casual dining scene in South Africa and has since grown to dozens of restaurants, with ten concepts in four countries; with multiple high-profile awards including a venue featured in the World's 50 Best.
Think Hospitality were commissioned to support with the UK market entry ahead of the launch of Tashas Cafe into London's new Battersea Power Station development.
The scope of services included reviewing and localising the menu, brand positioning, pricing and service style, by understanding the Tashas concept and business model in the other regions, to best provide contextualised guidance.
We leveraged our own professional experience in the UK market and the extensive Think Hospitality network to garner unique insights from other operators in the Battersea Power Station development to support the final decisions around localisation.
The result has been an incredibly positive launch with fantastic guest feedback, glowing reviews from the press and restaurant critics and higher than expected financial results.
