The brief

Da Vinci is a successful casual Italian restaurant group with ten locations across Estonia, including both standalone restaurants and sites within shopping centres. While the restaurants were performing well, the group’s technology infrastructure had not developed at the same pace as the wider business. Many processes relied on manual ways of working, with limited integration between the systems supporting restaurant operations and team management. Think Hospitality was engaged to develop a group-wide technology strategy, identify the right technology partners and support implementation across the business.

Our approach

We began by reviewing the group’s operational requirements and identifying where technology could create the greatest value for its restaurants, management teams and employees. From this, we developed a practical technology roadmap tailored to Da Vinci’s scale, structure and specific ways of working.

We supported the group in assessing and selecting suitable technology partners, planning integrations and prioritising investment. We also assisted with applications for government grants that could contribute towards the cost of the group’s digital development.

We worked directly with the restaurant management teams through a series of workshops, helping them understand how to use the technology effectively and adapt it to the realities of day-to-day operations.

The outcome

Da Vinci has successfully introduced a team engagement and onboarding platform across all ten restaurants, creating a more consistent experience for employees throughout the group. A new scheduling system has also been implemented, giving restaurant managers stronger tools to plan and manage their teams.

Further technologies and integrations are now progressing through a clearly defined implementation pipeline. The group has moved from relying largely on manual processes to having a structured technology strategy that can support greater consistency, efficiency and future growth across its restaurant portfolio.
